Morning Fog Studios Now Has A Website…

Glasses are clinking over here at Morning Fog Studios! We are celebrating a huge moment as our website is going live today. This has me thinking back to how I got started. Taking action on an idea helped me find my passion in the most unlikely places, my beverage.

The journey started, as many do, with one idea leading to the next. As a new mom looking for a creative outlet (and gifts for friends who were also having babies) I began putting names on wood baby hangers. Through trial and error, I learned multiple personalization techniques which I quickly figured out could be transferred to other materials. As my babies turned into toddlers wine became a necessity which led me to working with other materials like glassware. I began making etched wine glasses, giving them as much needed gifts while trying out different personalization processes to see what worked best. Scouring the internet for tips, visiting trade shows, watching youtube videos and practicing daily are all ways I fine tuned my process to achieve the pristine results that I envisioned. Not only did the glass and etching quality need to be top notch, I wanted to offer designs that had a current twist on the classics. I strived to achieve this by listening to my customers, working with a genius designer and being flexible when it comes to what goes on the glass. I am always willing to try new things!

I opened an Etsy shop in 2014 and haven’t looked back, making changes and improvements as I learn. For example, shipping costs were one of my greatest hurdles which led me to put a couple best selling products on Amazon. With free shipping for prime customers I was able get them in my customers hands quickly with no shipping cost. My desire to offer more design options with free shipping was part of what drove me to create my own website. I am beyond excited to share this next step with you.

Cheers!
